Baritone ukulele chords and fretboard (DGBE tuning)
On this page
A baritone ukulele is tuned D-G-B-E from the 4th string to the 1st (D3 G3 B3 E4), the same as the top four strings of a guitar. Its chord shapes therefore match guitar shapes, and they name chords a fourth lower than the same shapes on a standard G-C-E-A ukulele: the shape a standard ukulele player calls C (0-0-0-3) is a G chord on baritone. Use DGBE charts like the one below, not a standard ukulele chart.
Common baritone ukulele chords
Strings are listed 4 to 1 (D, G, B, E); numbers on the dots are fingers and ○ is an open string. Open any chord in the app for more shapes, each with a difficulty label, and to hear it.
Baritone ukulele for guitar players
If you play guitar, you already know these chords: take the open shape and drop the two lowest strings. The chord keeps its name.

| G | 3-2-0-0-0-3 | 0-0-0-3 |
| C | x-3-2-0-1-0 | 2-0-1-0 |

The app doesn't convert tabs; it shows each chord's shapes for the instrument you pick.
