Mixolydian is the fifth mode of the major scale, and its ♭7 gives it a sound that sits right between major and blues — bright but with a groove. It's the secret ingredient in classic rock rhythm parts, Grateful Dead jams, and any major-key riff that wants to feel relaxed rather than resolved. The fifth mode - major with a flat 7th. Dominant and bluesy. On bass, the fretboard view helps you visualize where the important tones sit for building lines across positions.
